NXi’s flagship product is “NTS” (“Network Telephony Services”). As its name implies, NTS bridges the worlds of phones and telecommunications with the worlds of networks and the internet.
On the “phone side,” NTS supports multiple types of phone gateways, including single/dual/quad T1/E1 boards and 4 to 24 port analog line cards. NTS also supports SIP/VoIP connections to major phone switch types. It has been tested and certified by both Cisco (for Call Manager 4/5/6) and Nortel (CS1000) as compatible.
On the “network side,” NTS supports most network and internet protocols for ftp/http web sites and browsers, email, databases, and so on.
NTS-7...
- servers run on Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista or Linux. NTS clients run on Windows 2000/XP/Vista.
- has a true “distributed” architecture where adding additional NTS servers lets a system scale to a very large number of users. Each NTS server automatically load balances and creates fail-over redundancy.
- has “script-based” operation. New NTS scripts may be written to customize operation. NTS scripts may be written by hand (in “Lua,” see www.lua.org), or may be constructed using a drag & drop GUI utility.
- was designed to be a flexible platform. NTS may be customized to meet any communications need.
